Shuttering magnets are easy to use for securing formwork in precast concrete production. Follow these steps for safe and effective operation. Always clean the steel casting bed and magnet base first to avoid air gaps that reduce holding force.

• Position the formwork: Place side rails, blockouts, and other formwork components on the clean steel casting bed at the required location, aligned with edges or corners.
• Attach the shuttering magnets: Set the shuttering magnets on the bed next to the formwork and connect them using the step, fixing screws, or adapters as required.
• Activate the magnets: Press down firmly on the clamping handle or button so the magnetic array engages with the steel bed and locks the formwork in place.
• Use enough magnets: For larger or heavier formwork, use multiple shuttering magnets to distribute the holding force evenly.
• Check adhesion: Before pouring, test the adhesion by lightly pushing or tapping the formwork to confirm there is no movement.
• Pour and vibrate concrete: Once everything is secure, pour the concrete and apply vibration as needed.
• Release after curing: After the concrete has set and demolding is allowed, pull up the clamping handle or use a release bar to deactivate the magnet and remove it.
• Protect hands: Wear gloves and keep fingers clear of pinch points during activation and release to avoid injury.
