Ι What Is NdFeB Powder?
NdFeB powder (Neodymium Iron Boron powder) is a finely milled magnetic material produced from Nd-Fe-B alloy. It consists of small, irregular particles with carefully controlled composition, particle size, and size distribution to ensure stable magnetic properties and good processability in downstream manufacturing.
At the microstructural level, NdFeB powder is dominated by the tetragonal Nd2Fe14B phase, with minor additions of other elements used to tune coercivity, temperature stability, and corrosion resistance for different requirements.
From an industrial point of view, Nd-Fe-B powder is not a finished product but an intermediate material. Its main role is to serve as the starting powder for producing sintered Neodymium magnets, bonded Neodymium magnets, and hot pressed / hot deformed Neodymium magnets, which will be introduced in more detail in the following sections.
