Insert molding is a process in which a pre-made component—such as a metal part or permanent magnet—is placed into a mold and then encapsulated as molten plastic is injected around it. The result is a single, integrated part where the insert is firmly locked into the plastic, improving strength and reducing separate assembly and labor steps.
