Ι What Are Neodymium Bar Magnets?
Neodymium bar magnets are a type of permanent magnet made from a Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) alloy. You may also see them called “Neo magnets” or “NdFeB magnets,” which are simply shorthand names for the same material. Known for their outstanding magnetic output, Neodymium magnets deliver the strongest performance among commercially available permanent magnets today.
Neodymium bar magnet is one of the simplest and most widely used shapes in the NdFeB family. They resemble Neodymium block magnets but feature a longer, more rectangular profile. Defined by length, width, and thickness, their length and width are typically much greater than the thickness, giving them a slim cross-section. Neodymium bar magnets come in many sizes and can be produced with different magnetization directions to suit application needs. In practice, they are commonly used in permanent magnet motors and other industrial assemblies.
