Ι What Are Neodymium Sphere Magnets?
Neodymium magnets are permanent magnets made from an alloy of Neodymium (Nd), Iron (Fe), and Boron (B). They are often called “Neo magnets” or “NdFeB magnets,” which are simply short names for Neodymium and Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets.
Neodymium sphere magnets, also known as buckyballs or magnetic balls, are spherical Neodymium magnets that entered the consumer market as “buckyballs” at the New York International Gift Fair in 2009. Their polarity is similar to the Earth’s magnetic field, with the north and south poles located on opposite sides of the sphere. Because of their strong magnetic force and smooth ball shape, Neodymium sphere magnets are widely used in consumer products, stress-relief and desk toys, educational tools, and scientific demonstrations. They are also popular in creative and artistic projects, where the magnets can be combined into complex patterns, designs, and small sculptures.
