Notes:
- Below pull force calculators are applicable for the magnetic material with straight B-H curve, include sintered Neodymium magnets, sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets and ferrite magnets.
- Air gap between magnet and steel plate in our pull force calculators is 0mm. In fact, even very small air gap will have a dramatic effect on the pull force in both theoretical calculations and the actual measurement.
- The calculation results are merely for reference.
- Besides material type, grade, and dimension, pull force is also affected by material, composition, and surface conditions of the steel plate. Steel plate should be thick enough to carry all flux or result in the low pull force due to the magnetic saturation.
