Ι What Are Magnetic Motor Assemblies?
Permanent magnet (PM) motors are a type of electric motor that utilizes permanent magnets for field excitation. Employing permanent magnets for excitation not only lowers power consumption, resulting in energy savings, but also improves the operational performance of the motors. PM motors represent one of the largest applications for permanent magnets. For example, more than two-thirds of rare earth magnet production is dedicated to the manufacturing of various PM motors.
Magnetic assemblies used in PM motors are known as magnetic motor assemblies. In the magnet industry, magnetic motor assemblies refer to magnetic rotor assemblies composed of permanent magnets, a shaft, and a core, or magnetic stator assemblies consisting of permanent magnets and a housing. These assemblies are then integrated with other respective parts to construct a PM motor, which enables high-speed, stable operation and produces torque that meets specified requirements.
